Overview
560 Lee Street is a single-tenant retail property occupied by Foot Locker, strategically positioned in Atlanta’s rapidly transforming West End neighborhood. The property benefits from excellent visibility, strong pedestrian and vehicular activity, and convenient access to I-20, Downtown Atlanta, the West End MARTA station, and surrounding intown neighborhoods including West End, Adair Park, and Capitol View.
Directly across the street, the former Mall West End is planned for a transformative redevelopment led by BRP Companies and The Prusik Group. Branded as One West End, the approximately $450 million project is expected to reimagine the 12-acre mall property as a 1.7 million-square-foot, mixed-use and mixed-income destination. Current plans call for approximately 1,000 residential units, a 150-room hotel, roughly 120,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and community-oriented amenities. The redevelopment is expected to introduce new residents, businesses, and daily activity while preserving opportunities for legacy and locally owned businesses within the historic West End community.
Additional investment is planned nearby at The MET Atlanta, a large adaptive-reuse campus on Metropolitan Parkway. Atrium Health, in partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine, has filed preliminary plans for a proposed acute-care teaching hospital on an approximately 40-acre campus at The MET. The proposed facility is expected to include emergency, diagnostic imaging, surgical, and other healthcare services. While the project remains in the planning and regulatory stages, it represents another potentially significant economic and employment generator for the West End area.
Farther south along the Lee Street corridor, Ackerman & Co. and MDH Partners have transformed the former Warehouse Row into Lee + White, a 442,562-square-foot adaptive-reuse destination with approximately one-half mile of frontage along the Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail. The development includes a food hall, restaurants, breweries, creative office space, healthcare providers, educational uses, neighborhood retail, expanded BeltLine access, and the Great Lawn gathering and event space. Popular destinations include Monday Night Garage, Wild Heaven Beer, Boxcar, and a growing collection of locally oriented businesses and service providers.
Together, One West End, The MET, and Lee + White represent substantial public and private investment along the greater West End corridor. With proximity to these major projects, the BeltLine Westside Trail, MARTA, and Downtown Atlanta, 560 Lee Street offers a prominent retail presence positioned to benefit from continued residential growth, employment expansion, and increasing consumer activity within one of Atlanta’s most dynamic emerging intown submarkets.
